Renowned International Code Council Speaker and Trainer, Michael Perrone, will be presenting his class Friday March 21, 2014, #17431, 2012 International Property Maintenance Code Fundamentals. This all day training session will provide State of Michigan approved 3 Technical Hours and 3 Specialty Hours. On Thursday March 20, 2014 from 1PM to 4:30PM there is a class on Safety Techniques and Threat Assessment provided by Two 2 the Rescue. Bonus class for ACT 54 credits - Washtenaw Community College
For MACEO members who can use ACT 54 credits, this bonus class is being held at Washtenaw Community College, Morris Lawrence Building,  the Huron Valley Association of Code Officials (HuVACO).  This all day class is open to MACEO members at no charge and offers 6 hours of ACT54 registration credit, class approval number 17016.  3 hour Plan Review, and 3 hours Building Technical  taught by an International Code Council (ICC)  instructor for Building Inspectors, Building Officials or Plan Reviewers. You must either email Barbara Lajiness or fill out and send the fax back form in if you wish to go.  In the fee area note that you are a MACEO member.

Presentations were given by Susan Lancaster, Assistant City Attorney with the City of Troy on criminal misdemeanor citations and Thomas Schultz, Partner with Secrest/Wardle on civil infractions. The afternoon session consisted of a mock trial on a misdemeanor citation and a formal hearing on a civil infraction presided over by Judge Nancy Carniak with the 52nd District Court, 3 Division from Rochester Hills.

Mid-Michigan Chapter

The Mid-Michigan Chapter of MACEO was established in 2005, to enable our members in the mid and upper Michigan areas to meet on a quarterly basis in a more accessible location.

The goal of this Chapter is to meet 3 to 4 times each year to provide training and networking to their members.
