Member Training Opportunity - Healthy Home Issues

OVERVIEW
The Michigan Association of Housing Officials has made arrangements to bring a special speaker to Michigan from Washington DC to speak on healthy homes issues. Mr. Tom Nelter will be coming to East Lansing from the National Center for Healthy Housing October 23rd. His presentation is packed full of scientific evidence connecting health and housing. He will show clearly why our jobs as code officials is important and give us information we can use to gain support in our communities. He will speak on strategies we can use to more effectively assure safe housing. He has a wealth of information on the primary dangers to health found in housing, how we recognize them, and what to do about them. He will be providing a volume of useful reference material.

MAHO would like to invite others to take advantage of this special seminar with us. Ordinarily we require membership dues to be paid by attendees, but for this seminar we will allow people from organizations like yours to come for just the cost of the meeting. A light lunch will be provided.
