General Membership Meeting
September 9, 2008
Warren, Michigan

President Niland called the meeting to order at 12:40 pm

SPEAKER
Bryce Kelly Director of Zoning and Economic Development for
Van Buren Township.

Bryce stated your should build a relationship with everyone you come in contact
with whether it is positive or negative and be consistant about what you do.
Bryce said as the Manager or Chief administrator you are responsible for the
efficient development of personal to protect the health, safety and welfare of the
public. The job of Code Enforcement is to uphold, enforce and regulate the
codes of the city or township.

In addition, Bryce said the Zoning Ordinance is to plan developments for the
always changing communities.

TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurers Report: Treasurer Martin reported we have a total of $13,272.23 in
our checking account and $17,210.90 in our savings account. Member Wiggle
motioned to approve the Treasurer’s report. The motion was supported. The
motion carried.

President Niland requested a motion to approve the minutes from August 12,
2008. Member Rubin made a motion to approve the minutes. Member Kilbrew
supported the motion. The motion carried.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT
President Niland announced MACEO will be sending one Board Member and
one person from the general membership to the EDUCODE conference in Las
Vegas in February of 2009. This will be decided on a lottery basis.

President Niland also announced MACEO one person from the general
membership will be selected to go to the 2009 AACE conference along with the
two Board Members. This will also be decided on a lottery basis.

President Niland requested a motion to approve spending $1500 on gift cards to
be given to MACEO members at the Christmas luncheon. Member Penn made a
motion to approve spending $1500 on gift cards. The motion was supported.
The motion carried.

MACEO presented Member Chuck Altman with a $100 check and wished him
well on his retirement from the city of Plymouth.

President Niland requested a motion to adjourn the meeting. Member Haluska
motioned to adjourn the meeting. Member Gysel supported the motion. The
motion carried.
